The Travelling Crib will be blessed in church on Sunday December 6th and will be returned to church on Christmas morning. Jane Ramsey writes:- The travelling crib is a collection on Knitted Nativity figures that make up the Nativity scene. You are invited to give a home to the crib and share the Christmas story with your family. You will keep the crib for a few days and then pass it on to the next family on the rota. Your child or grandchild is able to keep a woolly sheep as a memento. One idea of the travelling crib is to get to know more people in the village. You may receive the crib or deliver it to people you have not met. West Deeping is a small village and we all lead busy lives and finding the time to get to know our neighbours is hard. There is a heart to this village and we need to maintain it by getting to know each other, or we may become just another street! It would be fantastic to see the Crib in as many homes as possible this year. Jane. So if you have children or grandchildren who would like to look after the Crib please contact Jane Ramsey, 54 King Street: tel: 343329
