| The Miniature Gardens competition attracted 15 entries from children as young as 3, up to 11 years old. All the gardens were imaginative - including a Doctor Who garden, Gabriella’s Rainbow and a Swallows and Amazons scene. Many thanks to members of the congregation in church for doing the judging on the Sunday morning. 4 prizes of garden gnomes were awarded to William Green, age 4, of Morton, Charlotte Thurston of Dowsby, age 6, Sophie Blackburn of West Deeping, age 8, and Rebecca Stowe, age 11. Everybody received a cress seed kit, (sponsored by Waterside Garden Centre) to reward them for their efforts. Thanks to Jane Ramsay and Annette Morton for their help in advertising and organising the competition and many thanks to the helpful parents and grandparents!
